KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday said that there was no external hand involved in creating terrorism in Pakistan and it is local people who were involved in these crimes.

Speaking at the Karachi airport, Malik said that Taliban, al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were all coordinating with each other.

Malik said that Lashkar-e-Jhangvi was involved in creating terrorism in Karachi and that no terror activities could take place in the country unless terrorists had local support.

He said that conditions in Karachi were better and that the army did not need to be called in. Malik also said that if there were any complaints regarding corruption, then the FIA would investigate.
