GUANGZHOU, Nov 16: Chinese super-heavyweight boxer Zhang Zhilei hopes tactics passed on by world heavyweight great Evander Holyfield will inspire him to an Asian Games gold.

The 27-year-old has been training in the US where he met the world champion. “Holyfield gave me some tips and I wanted to see the results of that training at the Asian Games,” said the fighter.

Holyfield’s input certainly worked as Zhang won his first bout on Tuesday with a second round stoppage of Mongolia’s Iderbat Davaalkhagva.—AFP
