I am proud to see the wisdom of our young youth to show their love and affections for their Countryman. Hope to see the similar Wisdom and Love from our Political Leaders for their Country.
imtiaz qureshi Nov 02, 2010 06:19pm

Good effort. Such civic activism is heartening and good for country.
Mehreen Shoaib Nov 02, 2010 07:23pm
thank you all for your supportive and encouraging comments. insha Allah our aim is to focus on what each one of us can do instead of waiting on others :) looking forward to generating lots more energy and positivism

This is most rewarding to see the young as a part of civil society coming together for the flood victims, when the public authorites are ganging up as festering feudals for themselves. These young must physically reach these victims and help them to reinstall in their lives by setting up temporary scools for the future of their chidren.

Silent revolution is on its ways. We must realize that Pakistan, the land of pure; have poor population of ninety eight percent while about two percent are wealthy. Most corrupt of our society are in those two percent. We need leader who is poor as well as well educated. He must have balance. Pakistan Zindabad Waterloo, Canada
ak Nov 02, 2010 08:21pm
I am always confused with pakistanis, one side they talk about youth and revolution and seems like getting along with the developing world at the same time they have this hostile mentality and keep blaming other countries for their internal problems and support the government.
Fawad Sayed Nov 02, 2010 08:28pm
Mashallah. Now if we can get together against incompetent polititions and division among our nation whether it may be ethnic, secetarian or class, i beleive we have everything - all kind of talent - that is needed to uplift a country, only if the population of that country understands and utilizes those resources. Pakistan Zindabad.
Shaffan Afzal Nov 02, 2010 08:25pm
i believe its start of a new beginning...we have gone through many difficulties....but da time has come........we want a prosperous PAKISTAN and this seems to be a great effort in raising the self belief of our country once again...........
Salim Akbani Nov 02, 2010 08:48pm
Great to see positive energy in Pakistan. There is hope for a better future. Such a great departure from all the killing and mayhem caused by the religous self righteous.
Taimoor Abbas Nov 02, 2010 09:16pm
It is so lovely to see youth of Pakistan that much concerned about their country. But I wonder why the organizers have spend 100s of thousand rupees to make white T-Shirts with printed slogan ... they could have made it simpler. Showing solidarity with flood affected people does not mean that you are wearing occasion oriented clothes but to spend the same amount of money for their welfare. It looks cosmetic to me!
Ali Nov 02, 2010 09:22pm
Good to see true Pakistan after a very long time ... Nice pic ... Keep it up you all dream of Allama Iqbal ...
Jabbar Khan Nov 02, 2010 09:41pm
a great attempt.. Pakistanis are not sleeping.. i don't know why our 'human-friendly' political-cum-religious clergy is sleeping..
amit Nov 02, 2010 09:47pm
It was indeed pleasing to see young and bright youngsters. keep them free of prejuidices and prepare them to be master of the destiny of pakistan in their own way. I am sure pakistan will not only walk but will run and surpass all the faculties of human excellance. We all want a vibrant and forward looking neighbour on our west.
Farhan Hussaini Nov 02, 2010 10:12pm
I am glad to see youth coming up for such a Noble Cause. But after revealing the back side of this picture. The walk covered a distance of mere 400 meters. I hope the community can work more on this. Not just to gather Youth to take a picture for getting sponsorship. Lets have a more broad vision and strategic plan.
Tariq Azeem Nov 02, 2010 10:19pm
Pakistan's young are our future, they should come forward in all matter, they are honest and loyal than our corrupt politicians who do not even hesitate to loot the donation money. Youth of pakistan Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad Tariq Azeem Canada

Najma Shamsi Nov 02, 2010 11:52pm
Pakistan will be saved by its youth and its civil society. They WILL unite to fight the extremism and bigotry of the self appointed religious fanatics, the oppression imposed by corrupt politicians as well as by the self-serving feudals and tribal lords, and by the self seeking rich.
SSS KKK Nov 03, 2010 01:18am
Everything looks so good on paper!!
Ak Nov 03, 2010 02:58am
oo i feel so proud!!
Muhammad Nov 03, 2010 04:47am
good job, needs to be emulated by more and more people of Pakistan. More important the rich and the wealthy need to come out and cough up some money now. Even foreign countries and UN is asking them to do so. It is a matter of shame.
abdul rahim chundrig Nov 03, 2010 05:07am
I wish i could hv joined this walk, but i am thousands miles away.in kansas city (u.s.a) after watching these few picture ..i can just say.HUM ZINDA QUOM HEIN.and my humble appeal to all my pakistani bro and sisters, join hands .do what ever you can in yr capacity.dont look back and waste time watching tv talk shows. Waqas Ahmed Nov 03, 2010 05:31am
This is sheer stupidity and a mockery in the face of people suffering. You don't walk to show any sort of solidarity with affected people you walk with them, you work with them, you console their wounds. It is apparent how well the funds will be used for this cause looking at the image. Walk-a-thon(s), street protests and other events like that are nothing more than a weekend excursion.
Gulshan Munir Nov 03, 2010 08:29am
How th walk is going to benefit the country??
Salman Nov 03, 2010 09:32am
This is indeed a good initiative by these Youth. We should apprecaite that our nation is united to help under previllage and victims of flood. I think profit making organization should come up and participate in such events as their Corporate Social Responsibility. Now the Pakistan really needs to wake up now! Chalo Uthao Pakistan ko...people are still sleeping.
Salman Nov 03, 2010 09:41am
My reply to Gulshan Munir It's a Walkathon; sponsored walk and is a type of community or school fundraiser in which participants raise money by collecting donations or pledges for walking a predetermined distance or course.
Ali Nov 03, 2010 10:25am
Good Initiative. I just have one question... Uth Chaala Pakistan... Laikin Kahaan... :)
Salman Nov 03, 2010 11:06am
Young Youth!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Type of Long March in the month of November from ellite Class to show the Latest & updated Fashion gala. Nestle Pure Water Bottles, KFC Burger & many more, but peoples still dyeing.
Syed Aziz Agha Nov 03, 2010 01:11pm
The best aspect of the walk was Bonding of the Karachiites. People from all communities, cultures, sects and religions were all united together under one platform - and that is the need of the hour.It shows that we are One people - One Nation !
IRFAN ULLAH KHAN Nov 03, 2010 04:19pm
its good to show a sympathy with flood victims, but it is tyrannous to made them handicap. govt. and ngo's must paid them enough or help them out to start their business or work again. Catching a fish for a hungry person is good, but its better to educate him how to catch a fish.........
Imran A. Nov 03, 2010 09:40pm
Glad to see that no suicide bomber thought it was a good opportunity to take revenge against the army.
Ejaz Ahmed New York Nov 04, 2010 04:42am
Good Job. May Allah help our Pakistan. May Allah save us from all these corrupt siasat daan and hukmaraan. Imraan Khan should be our leader. He is a real Pakistani. May Allah give him long life to serve Pakistan. He is very sincere to his country and the people.
Abdul Haseeb Awan Nov 04, 2010 09:23am
I am very happy to see such steps. Step up Youth. We have to do it.. We have to get our leaders step down and select the right people like Imran Khan Ottawa, Canada

Its nice to see that al least we are all togather for good cause.
Suraj Kumar Sinha Nov 16, 2010 11:58am
It is nice to form a joint and common platform for solidarity with the sufferrer of DELUGU in PAK. But, Richs and Affluents in local society should contribute with Relief measures, chalking out Resconstruction plan for the people of countryside as part of social and national obligation.
