KARACHI: Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) on Wednesday named an 11-member national squad for the 16th Asian Games being held in Guangzhou, China from November 15 to 27.

Pakistan’s team includes seven boxers and three officials. The team is undergoing training in preparations for the championship.

Muhammad Wasim and Haroon Iqbal Khan who bronze medals in their respective categories at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India will once again lead the charge.

Squad: Muhammad Wasim (49 KG), Haroon Iqbal Khan (52 KG), Niamatullah (56 KG), Nawaz Dad (60 KG), Amir Khan (64 KG), Arshad Hussain (69 KG), Nisar Khan (80 KG), Mirwaiz Khan (91 KG).

Francisco Roldan (Chief coach) Arshad Hussain (Assistant coach), Waqar Maroof (Manager) will be the officials of the team. -APP
