KARACHI, Sept 12: The last date to apply for the British Chevening Scholarships 2003-4 has been extended from September 13. The new deadline will be Sept 27. This was announced in a British Council Karachi statement on Thursday.

The statement said that the extension has been made to facilitate those applicants who may have been unable to send their forms in time, due to the communication problems caused by the current lack of public access to the British Council.

It stated that the Chevening Scholarships programme will continue this year as usual, with tests and interviews to be held later in the year, despite the suspension of the British Council’s public services.

The application forms are available at select TCS centres and can also be downloaded from the British Council’s website: www.britishcouncil. org.pk.—APP
