KARACHI, Oct 1 International XI won the 7th All-Pakistan Nishan-i-Haider Hockey Tournament at the Mutiullah Stadium in Bahawalpur on Thursday evening.

The final between International XI and Pakistan Steel saw the former beating the latter 4-0. The goals were scored by Kashif Ali (ninth min), Jafar Ali (39th and 61st mins) and Olympian Usman Sheikh (47th min).

The winning team was awarded Rs1,00,000 and the runners up Rs50,000 along with their respective trophies by advisor to the chief minister of Punjab Samiullah Chaudhry, the chief guest on the occasion. The best player of the tournament, Jafar Ali, was presented with Rs10,000.

Meanwhile, the tournament organising committee also presented a cheque of Rs1,00,000 to Divisional Hockey Association (DHA) Bahawalpur's former secretary Waheedullah, who has been keeping unwell these days.
