Published September 8, 2002

RAWALPINDI, Sept 7: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) on Saturday distributed about 250 sacks of wheat among the people affected by drought.

The Tehsil Nazim, Raja Hamid Nawaz, distributed the wheat in a ceremony, which was attended by the members of various union councils.

While speaking on the occasion, the Nazim said the government was fully aware of difficulties faced by the people and the assistance provided to the local governments would be transferred to the affected persons to solve their problems. Hamid Nawaz said development programmes had been launched in various union councils to provide civic amenities to the people.
