GILGIT, July 14 The Gilgit-Baltistan government is making elaborate arrangements to celebrate Babusar Polo Festival.

The tournament would commence on Aug 6 and conclude on Aug 9. Sources in the Diamer district administration told this correspondent that elaborate arrangements were being made to attract maximum spectators. The sources said that a polo ground and other infrastructure are being constructed at Babusar, the highest polo ground of the world to facilitate the participants.

BISP Survey completed The survey for Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has been completed to identify the deserving people in two districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, an official of the programme Ajmal Baig said.

He said that BISP Director Abdul Sattar had held a meeting with Pakistan Post officials to discuss foolproof measures for distribution of the amount to the deserving people. — Correspondent
