QUETTA, May 5 People protesting against power cuts attacked an office of the Quetta Electric Supply Company, a post office and several other private and public buildings in Khuzdar on Wednesday.

All bazaars and shopping centres remained closed for second day as protests against loadshedding intensified in the town.

According to reports reaching here, hundreds of people took to streets raising slogans against Wapda and the government.

They set on fire furniture and record of the Qesco office and a number of motorcycles parked nearby.

The protesters also blocked the Quetta-Karachi highway.
