KARACHI, Jan 12 Karachi University (KU) recaptured the Inter-university boys squash title inflicting a 2-1 defeat on holders Government College University Lahore in the final played at the newly constructed courts of the NED University on Tuesday.

Superior University Lahore secured the third position defeating Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Lahore 2-0 in the playoff.

Fifteen Universities of the country took part in the two-day contest.

Final Karachi University bt Government College University Lahore 2-1 (Kashif Khan bt Aqib Hanif 11-4, 5-11, 11-2, 11-5; Jahanzeb Khan lost to Saqib Yousuf 3-11, 10-12, 9-11; Khurram Shahzad bt Abdul Ali 11-7, 11-3, 11-8).

Play-off for third position Superior University Lahore bt LUMS Lahore 2-0 (Umair bt Baseer 11-6, 11-2, 11-5; Basit bt Ammar 9-11, 11-2, 11-9, 11-7).
