LAHORE, Dec 23 The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) has received more confirmations from countries for participation in the Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament to be held in Karachi from Jan 1 to 9.

According to a PBF spokesman Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are the latest additions to the list of countries that accepted Pakistans invitation.

He added that the federation had extended invitations to the 26 countries out of which 16, namely, Afghanistan, China, Hungary, Iraq, Kenya, Mangolia, Nepal, Thailand, UAE, Myanmar, Chinese Taipei, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Central Africa, Vietnam and Cameroon, have confirmed entries.

Hosts Pakistan will field two teams named as Greens and Whites.

Squad of new entries

Sri Lanka — Sandun (48kg), Tharindu Dhakshilath (51kg), Damith Wijerathne (54kg), Tilkarathna Sumanapala (manager), Thalarambe Harsha Kumara (coach) and Lakshman Rathnasyriya (referee/judge).

Uzbekistan — Mahmudove Alisher (48kg), Nazarov Olimjon (51kg), Khujabekov Shokhrukh (57kg), Makhmudov Olimjon (ASBC ITO), Tursunov Hamid (referee/jugde) and Usmanov Khabibulla (coach).

Vietnam — Vo Xuan Thanh (51kg), Nguyen Van hai (54kg), Truong Dinh Hoang (57kg), Vu Duc Thinh (manager) and Le Anh Tuan (coach).

Cameroon — Nayolo Nyebe (54kg), Bomba Nnanga (60kg), Mulema Joseph (69kg) and Mendua Balse.
