KARACHI, July 23: The Sindh Bureau of Statistics has empowered the Sindh manpower and training department to conduct a detailed survey of all technical and vocational training institutes and industrial establishment units in the province.

The labour market information data thus collected would be later used to streamline all technical and vocational training institutes in accordance with both internal and foreign industrial needs.

The Bureau of Statistics has also provided a detailed proforma prepared by the federal Bureau of Statistics to maintain the standard of survey, which is being initiated simultaneously in all four provinces.

According to an official notification of the bureau, the department has been asked to collect data regarding name, date of establishment, state of recognition and number of courses being offered at technical and vocational training institutes, run by the department.—PPI
