HYDERABAD, July 13: A medico legal officer, Dr Amna Soomro, and a gynaecologist, Dr Pushpa Sri Chand, who carried out preliminary physical medical examination of a rape victim, Ms ‘S’, confirmed here on Saturday that she was subjected to sexual assault.

A final report of her physical examination would be issued on Monday on the basis of the two doctors’ consensus opinion.

They observed that the girl had fresh marks of burns on her foot whereas other burns on the upper and middle part of her body had healed.

The Cantonment police on Saturday obtained a four-day remand of Mohammad Saleem Bhatti, the main accused, from the court of the judicial magistrate-I. The co-accused, Nangar Khan, has already been remanded in police custody.

Meanwhile, the chemical examination report of the Kolhi girl, Ms ‘M’, is still awaited. The concerned medical examiner has opined that there is no visible evidence of recent rape.

The main accused in the case, Yamin Rajput, has obtained pre-arrest bail till Tuesday. Husri police tried to arrest him in the court premises but failed.

Ms ‘M’ has identified three of the arrested accused, Vishram Kohli, Ali Ahmed Machhi and Attaullah Machhi, saying they had subjected her to criminal assault.
