'We thought Taliban militants swarmed the city to take revenge of the operation the security forces had launched in Shah Hasankhel village on July 4,' a resident said.
The people were sleeping when huge explosions rocked the entire area, creating panic among the residents.
Sources said that exchange of firing between the law enforcers and miscreants lasted for 15 to 20 minutes. The attackers whose number could not be ascertained managed to escape law enforcement search operations against them.
