Whither hockey coverage?

Published May 18, 2009

PAKISTAN luckily reached the final of the Asia Cup Championship 2009, played in Kuantan, Malaysia. What a shame, however, that no local or international television network is telecasting the tournament depriving tens of hundreds of hockey lovers from the thrill of the game.

Ironically, Pakistans national game has come to such a pass that no TV channel is interested any longer in showing this game for the passionate hockey lovers.

Not only that, our good old Radio Pakistan which used to make arrangements for the audio coverage of the sports tournaments from every nook and corner of the world in the past has given up this policy for quite some time now. Furthermore, there is no website which could keep hockey lovers current on the match-to-match situation of this important tournament.
