KOHAT, May 5 A security man was injured and a military barrack damaged in a rocket attack in the cantonment area by militants from Darra Adamkhel on Tuesday.

Eyewitnesses and officials said a rocket fired from the mountains of Darra Adamkhel exploded in Pathan Centre inside an army compound, injuring a soldier.

Security forces retaliated with artillery fire on suspected hideouts of militants in the Drara Adamkhel mountains from the Kohat OTS road.

Meanwhile, police launched an operation against militants in areas bordering the tribal belt and arrested 66 suspects on Tuesday.

The operation was launched on the order of Kohat region Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammad Idrees. The elite police force and commandoes are conducting the operation.
