PTBA elections

KARACHI, March 31 Abdul Qadir Memon and Anwar Kashif Mumtaz have been elected unopposed president and general secretary of Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA) for 2009-11.

The PTBA annual elections were held in Lahore on Monday and four senior vice presidents were also elected. They are Ch Muhammad Khalid Asad (Multan), Mian Abdul Rauf Qayyum (Faisalabad), Munawwar Hussain Shaikh (Karachi) and Rana Munir Hussain (Lahore).

Besides, ten vice presidents were also elected. They are Mian Abdul Ghaffar, Mian Muhammad Rafi, A S Jafri, Ghulam Ahmed Ansari, Kamal Hassan Siddiqui, Muhammad Mansha Sukhera, Mushtaq Ahmed, Naik Muhammad Malik, Pirzada Syed Saeed Ahmed Shah and Muhammad Iqbal Malik.

Abdul Quddus from Lahore and Shiekh Ahsan-ul-Haq from Okara were elected finance and information secretaries, respectively, says a press release.
