KARACHI Internet users attempting to access Pakistani websites are being directed towards explicit pornographic content, netizens told Dawn.com on Monday.
Internet users who add the commonly-used domain name `.com` after the Pakistani domain `.pk` are automatically being re-directed to a foreign pornography website that displays explicit content without any advance warning.
The domain `.pk` is the internet top-level domain for Pakistan. Government ministries and public sector organizations in the country use `.pk` in for their websites, including the Pakistani government`s official site (www.pakistan.gov.pk) and the Ministry of Information`s website (www.info.gov.pk)
