ISLAMABAD, June 20: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Muhammad Aziz Khan on Wednesday visited PAF bases at Multan and Rafiqui.

He expressed satisfaction over the state fo preparedness of the combat crew while inspecting war assets and air defence elements deployed at the bases.

Talking to PAF personnel, Gen Khan said: “We will not initiate war, but if it is thrust upon us, the armed forces and the people of Pakistan will not hesitate to shed the last drop of their blood in the defence of their motherland. We will continue to fight till the time our struggle reaches its logical conclusion,” he said.

Earlier, on arrival at PAF Base, Multan, Gen Khan was received by Air Officer Commanding Central Air Command, Air Vice-Marshal Shahid Nisar Khan.

He was briefed on the operational preparedness of the PAF and wartime role of its bases.

Gen Khan met the fighter pilots and technicians of the different squadrons deployed at the bases. —APP
