FAISALABAD, Nov 9: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (Saddar) has declared 42 private housing schemes, including the Judicial Officers Colony, illegal. TMA Nazim Muhammad Afzal issued notices to the residential colonies saying the developers of these schemes under the Punjab LG Ordinance, 2001, were bound to get an NOC and the approved building plan from the tehsil council for developing a colony.

The TMA said 42 colonies had been found illegal and in violation of the rules. Therefore, it had been decided to take a legal action against the developers besides demolishing the structure from the sites.

The schemes which have been declared illegal are Hamza Town, Mian Town, Madina Market and Chenab Garden of Chak 67-JB, Sangam Market of Chak 245-RB, Motorway Colony of Chak 5-JB, Gulshan Raheem Town of Chak 215-RB, Hashmat Park and Makka Market of Chak 275-JB, Ravi Garden and Rehmat Health City of Chak 226-RB, Al-Madina Housing Colony of Chak 243-RB, Green Valley Town of Chak 199-RB, Paradise Valley of Chak 198-RB, Usman Commercial Market of Chak 243-RB, Madina Town of Chak 76-JB, Usman Town of Chak 209-RB, Khan Garden Town of Chak 263-RB, Madina Industrial Area of Chak 243-RB, Rehman City of Chak 67-JB, Shan Town of Chak 67-JB, Gulfishan Town of Chak 67-JB, Hamza Market and Sangum City of Chak 68-JB, Madina Garden and Faiz Garden of Chak 100-JB, Abdullah Town of Chak 84-JB, Green Town of Chak 67-JB, Hamza Town of Chak 215-RB, Yousaf Town of Chak 5-JB, Telecom Engineering Housing Society Phase-II, Rehman village of Chak 241-RB, Ali Garden of Chak 66-JB, Sehgal City of Chak 234-RB, M-City Housing Scheme of Chak 5-JB, Dr Man Town of Chak 66-JB, Ahmad Town on Samundri Road, Housing Colony of Chak 89-JB, Muneer Town of Chak 196-RB and the Judicial Officer Colony of Chak 198-RB.

The TMA has ordered the developers of these colonies to demolish all structures on their own or get a formal approval from the agencies concerned.
