SIALKOT: Trader shot dead

SIALKOT, Nov 7: A trader was shot dead on resistance during robbery on Muradpur-Malkey Kalan Road here late on Saturday night.

Tanveer was on his way home when two armed robbers stopped him and snatched cash from him. They opened fire on him for holding them out, killing him instantly. The bandits escaped with the booty while resorting to aerial firing. The deceased was the father of two children and the nephew of Uggoki press club chairman Muhammad Akram Bhatti. Muradpur police have registered a case.

MASS WEDDING: A mass wedding ceremony of 30 couples was held at Baitul Aroos here on Sunday under the auspices of Tanzeem Al-Awan.

Punjab Tanzeem Al-Awan president Muhammad Jehangir Awan was the chief guest. The notables from all walks of life also participated in the ceremony.
