GILGIT, Nov 3: Over 1,000 students belonging to various colleges of Gilgit on Tuesday protested against victimization of two students of a private school by their captors last week.

The procession held here at Hunza Chowk lasted for four hours and was joined by the nationalists and other political parties. The protesters demanded that the government should arrest all the eight accused who were wanted in the case. They said the case should be heard in the Anti-terrorism court on day-to-day basis.

The speakers at the procession included Northern Areas Legislative Council member from Yasin Ghulam Mohammad, PML leader Raja Jehanzeb, PPP leader Mohammad Musa, Ahsan Ali Adovcate, Mumtaz Nagri and Gilgit district council member Manzoor Baguru demanded stern action against the culprits involved in the crime.

Two students of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gilgit, Shafa Ali and Muslim Khan were reportedly lured into a secluded place by their friends where they escaped a sodomy attempt when their captors demanded to take a nude picture of theirs.
