SUKKUR, July 24: Funds of the Baitul Maal have been embezzled in various post offices. In this connection an investigation has been started by the FIA.

The funds were not properly disbursed among people from post offices of Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Shikarpur, Larkana and Jacobabad.

The FIA started inquiry into the matter and initially record of the Moro post office was being scrutinized.

Officials of certain post offices entered fake names in their record to embezzle Zakat funds.

JUI: The Naib Amir of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F, Maulana Murad Halejvi, and the secretary-general of the MMA, Sindh, Maulana Khalid Mehmood Soomro said on Friday that the US wanted to eliminate Muslims under the cover of war on terror. They stated this while addressing a gathering at the Madressah Darul-Quran on the Miani road. They said if the Pakistan army was sent to Iraq then the government had to face strong opposition from the people.
