DADU, April 2: Three persons were killed and 50, including women and children, injured as a passenger coach fell into a ditch on Faridabad-Mehar road on Friday.

While the coach (HDB-953-153) was going to the Golo Gawans village from Shah Godreio, the driver lost control over it as a result it overturned and fell into a ditch.

The deceased were identified as Rahib Mallah, 20, Piral Mallah, 36, and the cleaner of the coach, Mushtaq Soomro, 36.

Those injured were identified as Roshan, Sachal, Nafees, Hussain Bukhsh, Komal, Ayesha, Abdul Fatah, Basheer, Mohammad Saleh, Shams, Naziran, Sanam, Sadiq, Shahida, Zubaida, Waheeda, Saeeda, Mukhtiar, Salma, Samina, Sufia, Abdul Karim, Mushtaq, Sajan, Fatima, Manzooran, Nooran, Budhal, Inayatan Khatoon, Ehsan, Khatoon Begum, Benazir, Jamalan, Arbab Khatoon, Mohammad, Ms Khatoon, Khamiso, Rafiq, Zamir, Nasiban, Nawabzadi, Zulaikhan, Juman and coach driver Mohammad Ali Tagar.

They were taken to the Mehar taluka hospital. Dr Hidayatullah Khoso said that those injured were in serious condition as legs and arms of most of them had been fractured.

They were referred to hospitals in Larkana and other parts of Sindh after being provided first aid.

A case has been registered against the driver with the Faridabad police.
