LAHORE, April 25: Five goals by Asif Tiwana enabled RC Cola/Hico to beat Adisseo 6-5 in the opening match of the Spring Cup polo tournament on Monday. Adisseo made a fine start gaining 3-1 lead in the first chukker. Bilal Haye, who scored three goals, struck back-to-back while Abdul Haye Mehta added a goal.

For the winners Asif scored his first converting a 60-yard penalty hit.

Adisseo held on to lead (4-2) as both teams scored a goal each in the second chukker. Junaid Ahmed pumped in a goal for Adisseo while Asif replied for the winners.

The winners had levelled 4-4 in the third chukker by scoring two goals without conceding any. Feroze Gulzar netted a goal followed by Asif who struck his third.

In the fourth chukker Bilal Haye again put Adisseo ahead 5-4 by scoring his third goal in the beginning but Asif slammed in back-to-back goals to turn the defeat into win.
