HYDERABAD, April 10: The federal government has been asked to ban the sale and purchase of ‘booster injection’ for buffaloes and cows for increasing the quantity of milk. At a meeting held here on Sunday, the Sindh Chamber of Agriculture observed that hormones of people drinking such milk were affected and the progress of children was retarded. It further said the injection also affected buffaloes and cows by damaging their hormones.

The meeting also called for a ban on slaughter of calves. Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah presided over the meeting.
