DADU: Teachers continue protest

DADU, March 8: Teachers continued their hunger strike unto death on the eighth consecutive day on Tuesday in protest against non-payment of eight month salary.

Those went on hunger strike include Mushtaq Shah, Zaman, Ali Raza Jamali and Aman Hingoro.

Meanwhile, about 125 people including teachers and activists of different political parties were booked on Monday night for blocking the Dadu-Larkana railway track.

The Dadu town police registered an FIR against them under section 147, 149 and 341. They include Inayat Ali Jamali, Mustafa Sario, Shabbir Abro, Hameed Memon, and Gul Mohammad Joyo.

It has been stated in the FIR that the accused blocked the Dadu-Larkana railway track for an hour and closed the Indus highway.

BOYCOT: On the call of JSQM and JSMM, students boycotted classes in primary and secondary schools and degree colleges in Mehar taluka on Tuesday. They demanded that murder case should be registered against the SSP investigation Hyderabad and other law enforcement agencies officials for their alleged involvement in the murder senior-vice chairman of Samiullah Kalhoro.

The students took out a procession and staged a demonstration at the Ghanta Ghar chowk. The activists also took out a procession in Mehar town.Party leaders Moharram Brohi, Nisar Samoo and Ahmed Khan said they would continue their protest till registration of a case against the SSP investigation and other officials.
