GUJRANWALA, Feb 21: Two minor boys were run over and killed by speeding vehicles in Naushera Virkan and Qila Dedar Singh on Monday. Reports said Danish (6) and Zunair (7) were playing along the road when the vehicles ran over them.

Later, the heirs of the deceased and people of the area blocked the road and demanded immediate arrest of the absconding drivers.

KILLED: A proclaimed offender killed an eyewitness and injured another in Wazirabad on Monday. Reports said Wasim Khan and Yasin Khan were eyewitnesses against PO Muhammad Akram in a criminal case.

They were sitting at a shop in Qudratabad locality when Akram came there and opened fire on them. As a result Wasim died on the spot while Yasin sustained injures. He was rushed to the local DHQ hospital in a critical condition. Police have registered a case.

FOUR INJURED: As many as four passers by, including a teenaged girl, were injured following an exchange of fire between two rival groups at Awan Chowk bypass intersection here on Monday.

Reports said two groups, led by Shahzad Butt and Fauji Jat, quarrelled with each other over an event easing issue and traded fire. As a result, Suleman, Sufian, Wahidul Haq and Razia sustained injuries. They were rushed to the local civil hospital in a critical condition.
