MARDAN: Roof collapse leaves 4 dead

MARDAN, Feb 19: Four people, including a woman and her three children, were killed and a man sustained injuries when the roof of their house caved-in in the Ghondo village in the late hours of Friday.

It is learnt that roof of the house of a villager, Pazir Mohammad, collapsed on Friday night due to rain when all family members were sleeping. The dead included Pazir's wife Husan Zari, daughter Zuhra and two sons Mohammad Ayaz and Zahir Shah, while Pazir received injuries.

Area people rushed to the site and recovered the bodies. The injured was admitted to a hospital. After the latest incident, the number of deaths in rain-related incidents in Mardan district reached 19.
