HYDERABAD, Feb 11: A man suffered burn injuries after an explosion occurred in the toilet of a restaurant some 10 kilo meters off the Hyderabad toll plaza on the Super Highway on Friday.

The injured was identified as Shah Mohammad, 40, son of Mohammad Shah.

The cause of the explosion could not be ascertained immediately. A team of officials of the Sui Southern Gas Company also rushed to the hotel because a gas supply line was passing in the vicinity.

The acting general-manger of the SSGC, Mr Mushtaq Memon, said the supply line was located around 20 feet away from the toilet and 10 feet deep. He said the excavation was being done to ascertain the actual cause. He said the injured was admitted to the Civil Hospital. Mr Memon said leakage of natural or bio gas might had caused the explosion.

HESCO: Hesco has announced that on February 13 power supply will remain suspended between 9am to 2pm in the operation circle-I and between 8am to 2pm in the circle-II of Hyderabad. In Nawabshah and Sukkur there will be no electricity between 8am to 1pm.
