PESHAWAR: Rs170m library for Kohat

PESHAWAR, Feb 1: The Kohat University of Science and Technology would start a project under which a central academic block and state-of-the-art library would be established, a press release said on Tuesday.

It said that the government had sanctioned Rs170 million for the project. The central academic block would consist of three floors, with 14 class rooms, five mini libraries, nine laboratories, five lecture theatres, 26 offices, five conference rooms, four common rooms and as many rooms for visitors, it said.

The central library will have the capacity of 100,000 books. The project would be carried out by 11 technical persons, who would work under a director, it added.

The foundation-day ceremony of the NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar, would be held on Feb 4, said a press release on Tuesday. The varsity's administration has planned many activities, including children show, tug of war and sports activities at the Agricultural University Public School.
