They included doctors Gul Mohammad Hakro, Rustam Ali Bhutto, Mohammad Nawaz Shaikh, and Imdad Ali Soomro and police officers Sikandar Ali Jalbani (the line officer) and Mohammad Amin Leghari (sub-inspector, investigation, Qambar police.)

Advocates Sobhraj and Ayub Khanzada appeared on behalf of residents of Qambar and relatives of the four deceased. They requested the judge to hold the inquiry in Qambar town.

Meanwhile, activists of the People's Party Parliamentarians and the Citizens' Action Committee observed a token hunger strike in Qambar to pressure the government to declare Qambar a district and ensure arrest of killers of four protesters. Token hunger strike was also observed in Warah, Wagan, Gaji Khuhawar and Nasirabad to express solidarity with the protesters of Qambar.

DISTRICT COUNCIL: The Larkana police on Tuesday did not permit a group of members of the district council to hold a council session as the district administration had sealed the council hall in Jinnah Bagh.

Police stopped the members from entering into the council hall. Acting convener of the council Athar Abbas Solangi and 25 union council nazims assembled outside the hall and criticized the district administration for preventing them from holding the meeting.
