SUKKUR, Aug 11: Khairpur District Nazim Nafisa Shah has criticized the reinstatement of Khairpur SHO Asif Bajwa after a suspension of 24 hours, and alleged that he was involved in several cases of corruption and harboured dacoits and criminals.

She also criticized the release of "notorious dacoits" Farooq Kalhoro, Zulfiqar Ali who had been arrested by the Khairpur police three days back and later released, according to her, either on the intervention of political personalities or because of bribing police officials.

In a letter sent to the IG of Sindh on Wednesday, she lodged strong protest over the attitude of the Khairpur police, who, according to her, were creating a law and order situation and harbouring dacoits and criminals.

She said that AIG, Sukkur range, Rahoo Khan Brohi, after proper investigation suspended SHO Bajwa but he was reinstated. The nazim urged IG Syed Kamal Shah to take notice of the matter and take action against the officials involved in it.
