Police said a wagon carrying passengers from Sheikhupura to Lahore was stopped at Khanpur Canal bridge by four gunmen who were also on board as commuters. They made the driver to change the route.

Near village Wazira Virkan, the bandits alighted all the passengers except two women sitting on the front seat. After depriving passengers of their cash, they drove away with the vehicle. Police were yet to trace the vehicle and the women.
