SHEIKHUPURA, July 26: Two family members were shot dead while their servant sustained bullet injuries on Monday over some domestic issue in Eserkay village, some 26kms from here.
Ilyas Dogar was quarrelling with his sister and sister-in-law over some domestic issue. In the meanwhile, Dogar's nephew Baber came there along with servant Waheed and tried to pacify the situation.
At this, the accused fell into a rage and shot dead his nephew and injured Waheed. However, the injured servant snatched pistol from his master and shot him dead. The injured was rushed to the local DHQ Hospital where his condition was described as stable. Sadar police are looking into the matter.
THREE KILLED: Three members of a family were killed while as many sustained injuries in a road accident on the Motorway near Beat No 3 on Monday. According to the motorway police, trader Javed Iqbal of Lahore, his wife Bushra, sons Awais, Ali, Bilal and daughter Farrah were returning from Murree by their car.
Near Beat No 3, their vehicle plunged into a 15-feet ravine due to bursting of one of its tyres. Consequently, Javed Iqbal, Awais and Ali died instantly while the rest suffered critical injuries. The injured was shifted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore, in critical condition.
