ABBOTTABAD, July 12: The Nathiagali Hotel Association has asked the government to bring into tax net all private guest houses and rest houses in the area as they are doing business without paying any tax or duty to the government.

A demand to the effect was made at a meeting of the association held here on Monday. The meeting was presided over by association's president Sardar Jehandad. The meeting said that local hotels and restaurants were paying huge taxes, including sales tax, income tax, local government and provincial government's levies.

Hotels and restaurants also paid electricity charges on commercial rates, while the private guest houses and rest houses paid electricity according to domestic tariff.

FREE MEDICAL CAMP: The Human Resource Development Society, an Islamabad-based NGO, organized a one-day eye camp at Bara Hoter, a remote village of Abbottabad district, said a press release on Monday.

More than 400 eye patients were provided free medical treatment and medicines at the camp. DIG Hazara Range Rao Amin Hashim and officials of the local administration were also present on this occasion.
