ENCROACHMENTS: Encroachments are causing inconvenience to the general public in the district. Encroachments are increasing in various parts of the district despite clean-up operations by the Tehsil Municipal Administration.

These encroachments have marred the beauty of the Main Bazaar, Railway Road, Chandni Chowk, Baba Bulleh Shah Road, Circular Road, Chowk Kot Murad Khan, Sabzi Mandi Chowk and Rukanpura Road Kasur.

It is learnt that the cart owners, who occupy places in front of shops, also pay some amount per month to shopkeepers. Tehsil Nazim Malik Rasheed said he would deal the encroachers with an iron hand.
