HYDERABAD, June 17: Thecity chapter of the People's Party Parliamentarians has condemned the murder of party leader Munawwar Suharwardy in Karachi on Thursday and demanded registration of an FIR against the Sindh governor and chief minister.

In a joint statement issued here on Thursday, MPA Zahid Ali Bhurgari, Amanullah Siyal, Mir Fateh Talpur, Aftab Khanzada, Roshan Solangi and others said if the killers of the Sindh PPP information secretary were not arrested and awarded punishment they deserved, consequences would be dangerous.

They also announced a three days mourning and protests. In another statement, the provincial president, Pakistan People's Engineers Forum, Zahid Hussain Lashari, Zulfiqar Abro, Sikandar Hayat Rajput, Sindh People's Students Federation general-secretary Haji Damrah, divisional youth's wing president Amjad Baloch and others termed the murder of Mr Suharwardy a great tragedy.

They appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo motu action in the matter and order registration of the murder case against the governor and the chief minister.

RESULTS: The controller of examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Wednesday announced the result of higher secondary certificate part-I and II (class-XI and XII) annual examination 2004 of home economics.

According to the result of home economics examination part-I, 71 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 29 candidates were declared successful in all seven papers. In the home economics part-II examination, a total number of 78 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 71 candidates were declared successful in all papers.
