SARGODHA, June 3: All the accused nominated in the Utra massacre have been arrested and weapons used in the incident also recovered.

This was claimed by Sargodha Range DIG Fayaz Ahmed Mir while talking to newsmen here on Thursday. He said that the challan would soon be submitted to the court for trial after the completion of the investigation.

He said the investigation was being conducted purely on merit and the action would be taken against the accused without any discrimination. Meanwhile, complainant Maula Bakhsh alleged that the accused were being given the VIP treatment because they had the backing of some influential political figures.

He further alleged that the investigation was not being conducted in a fair manner as some hidden hands were out to get excluded the case from the jurisdiction of the Anti-Terrorism Court.
