SIALKOT, June 2: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali will give the best FPCCI export trophy award to 11 exporters of Sialkot in a ceremony held in Karachi on June 26.

According to an FPCCI press release issued here on Wednesday, Mrs Mussarat Khurshid Sufi would be given country's best woman exporter award with having exports worth Rs1.19 billion during the fiscal year 2002-2003.

The 10 other leading exporters who would be rewarded are: Muhammad Akmal Cheema, Najibullah Mirza, Muhammad Ajmal, Ejaz A Khokhar, Asif Mehmood Sheikh, Masud Mehr, Ejaz Ahmad Awan, Javaid Sethi, Abdul Samad Malik and Muhammad Naeem Akhtar.

ARRESTED: The district police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 13 members of two inter-district gangs of bandits. Sialkot DPO Nisar Ahmad Saroya told newsmen that the arrested accused of the Billa Gang - Mohsin Ali Billa, Umer, Khurram, Arshad, Ali, Kashif, Adnan and Irfan (Billa gang) and ring leader of Pappu Gang - Shehzad alias Pappu and his three accomplices were wanted in various cases of dacoity and robbery.

The DPO said the police had recovered 10 cars, one motorcycle and stolen valuables worth Rs3.5 million from their possession. He said further investigations was under way.

CHALLANED: Drug inspector Asif Farooq Awan on Wednesday challaned 10 clinics and medical stores in Daska and Pasrur tehsils for using veterinary drugs on human beings and selling expired medicines.
