Published April 8, 2004

KASUR, April 7: A man shot dead his brother over a monetary dispute at Mohallah Mawatian in Mustafabad on Wednesday. Police said Nadeem and Zahid were running a milk business and hardly few days ago they had quarrelled over money. However, the elders in the family settled their dispute.

Nadeem, the police said, wanted to do business individually and demanded his amount from Zahid. This led to a quarrel after which Nadeem shot dead his brother. Mustafaabad police sent the body to the District Headquarters Hospital and registered a case on the report of the deceased's father. The police arrested the culprit.

KILLED: A cyclist was knocked down and killed by a speeding bus at Javednagar in Pattoki. Police said Muhammad Hanif was returning home from his fields on a bicycle when a bus, coming from Lahore, hit him. He died on the spot. Pattoki Saddar police have registered a case against the absconding bus driver.
