SIALKOT, Jan 28: The Hajipura police registered a dacoity case almost 10 months after the incident. According to details, four dacoits had on March 20, 2003 , looted gold ornaments and cash, worth Rs40,000, from the house of Abdul Razzaq in Mohallah Shahabpura, Sialkot city.

He approached Hajipura police for the registration of the case many times but to no avail. The police registered the case on Jan 26, almost 10 months after the incident. Meanwhile, the Uggoki police registered a robbery case 10 days after the incident and on the order of District and Sessions Judge Badaruz Zaman Chattha.

Four dacoits robbed 10 people, including transporters Babar Khan, Iqbal and Shahid, near Harar village, Uggoki. The victims had recognized the dacoits and filed an application with the Uggoki police for the registration of a case against the accused.

The police did not register a case against the accused, said to be area's influential people. The victims approached the district and sessions judge who took a serious notice and ordered registration of case.
