KARACHI, May 17: The FIA officials on Friday apprehended six persons at the Karachi Airport.

Four of them were travelling on forged visas for Prague, and two were on way to Abu Dhabi and Riyadh on forged papers.

The passengers were detected when immigration clearance of Qatar Airways and PIA flights were in progress.

Passengers Mohammad Noman and Abdul Majeed, who were proceeding to Abu Dhabi/ Riyadh, reported at the immigration counters for exit.

Checking of their travel documents revealed that their papers were forged.

The remaining four passengers, Imranul Haq, Malka Choudhry, Kausar Ali Iqbal and Mohammad Farooq were proceeding to Prague via Doha/ London.

During spot interrogation, three passengers disclosed that they were induced by one Imranul Haq who was taking them to Prague as their carriers.

Javed Mughal, assistant director, FIA (immigration), disclosed that some agents were still sending innocent people abroad on forged/fake travel documents by taking handsome money.— APP
