GUJRANWALA, Jan 5: A woman and her four children sustained serious burn injuries in Congniwala locality here on Monday.

Widow Nasim, 50, and children Usman, 16, Zeeshan, 11, Moshin, 7, and Sohail, 9, were sitting around fire when one of the children sprinkled kerosene on it. The fire engulfed them and they were taken to the DHQ Hospital. They were later rushed to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore.

Suicide: Two teenaged cousins allegedly committed suicide over marriage issue here on Monday. The parents of Shazia and Atiya did not allow them to marry the boys of their choice. The girls took poison in dejection and died in the DHQ Hospital soon after arrival. The bodies were handed over to their families.
