Tribal chief passes away

DADU, Jan 2: Sardar Achar Khan Hamzani Gabol died after protracted illness at a private hospital in Karachi on Thursday. He was diabetic and died after renal failure.

He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard near Achar Khan Gabol village adjacent to Pir Gaji Shah shrine, Johi taluka, on Friday morning.

A large number of people, including his relatives, friends and notables of the area, attended his funeral.

Being a humble and kind-hearted tribal chief, Sardar Achar Khan never posed himself as being the head of the 14 sub-tribes of Gabol tribe scattered over Sindh and Balochistan and preferred to keep low profile throughout his life.
