Gujrat DBA gets Rs2m grant

GUJRAT, Dec 12: The federal government has released a Rs2 million grant to the Gujrat District Bar Association and Rs1 million each to tehsil bar associations of Kharian and Sarai Alamgir.

Federal Minister for Kashmir and Northern Areas Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Friday that cheques were given to the Gujrat DBA and Kharian TBA, while the Sarai Alamgir TBA would get the cheque in a few days.

He said grants for these bar associations were given from Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s special fund on his recommendation.
