SANGHAR, Dec 2: The Citizen Community Board Forum on Tuesday accused the EDO of finance of misappropriating pay-orders given to him by the forum eight months ago.

The forum office-bearers Shahid Nizamani, Abdul Jabbar Dharejo, Mohabbat Ali Mangrio, Sahib Khan Mangrio and Fahad Hussain Arain told journalists that they had given 20 per cent amount of CCB schemes to the EDO Fazil Shah who tried to encash the pay-orders in collusion with DCO Khuda Bux Larik and manager of a private bank but the bid had been averted.

They alleged that millions of rupees funds for the schemes had been withheld as the EDO and DCO were demanding 20 per cent commission for releasing them.

They said that they were called to the EDO’s office on Tuesday and when they reached there they were made to wait for hours but no officials came to meet them.

CHAIRMEN REMOVED: More than 60 chairmen of local zakat and ushr committees who belonged to PML-F were removed by the district chairman of zakat committee, Ghulam Ali Wassan, on Tuesday.

District Nazim Haji Khuda Bux Rajar termed the move political victimisation and said that he had contacted the minister and secretary of zakat department but they did not know about the move.

He said that the move was a deliberate attempt to sabotage the PPP-PML-F alliance.
