KARACHI, Oct 19: Five Indian fishermen were arrested on Saturday for fishing illegally in Pakistani territorial waters.

They were identified as Saamji, son of Bhagwan, Nanji, son of Laxman, Makhan, son of Ram, Deowat, son of Lakha and Laxman, son of Jeisa.

The agencies protecting maritime frontiers spotted them fishing 120 nautical miles into Pakistani waters and handed them over to police, who lodged the fishermen in lock-up.

They will be produced in a court on Monday for seeking their remand, police sources said.—APP
