HYDERABAD, Oct 3: A youth along with an accomplice shot his two aunts dead and injured four other relatives in Budho Mangrio village in the Odero Lal area of Matiari district at Thursday night over a matrimonial issue.

Ashiq Ali Mangrio and Rustam Mangrio barged into the house of Umer Mangrio, the uncle of Ashiq, past Thursday midnight, and tried to kidnap his cousin Ms Badshahzadi.

On her hue and cry, other inmates of the house woke up and tried to rescue her but were fired upon by Ashiq and Rustam. As a result, Satbharai 70, wife of Umer, and Shama, 30, wife of Pir Dino Mangrio, were killed and four other members of their family, including Badshahzadi, were injured.The incident created panic and harassment in the village.

The bodies and those injured were taken to Matiari taluka hospital from where they were later shifted to Hyderabad Civil Hospital. The bodies were handed over to the heirs after post-mortem on Friday.

A murder case has been registered at Odero Lal police station against the two accused, who have absconded.
