HYDERABAD, Sept 22: Like elsewhere, the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali was observed with reverence in most parts of the interior of Sindh amid tight security measures here on Monday.

In Hyderabad, the central procession under the aegis of Anjuman-i-Imamia Sindh was taken out from Karbala Dadan Shah which culminated at Qadamgah Moula Ali.

Stringent security arrangements were made on the procession’s routes. All the roads and lanes leading to the procession’s route were sealed off by barbed wire fences. As many as 500 policemen including six DSPs and eight station-house officers were deployed to maintain peace.

Law-enforcers were also deployed on various buildings and closed-circuit cameras were also installed along the procession routes. Strict security arrangements were also made at all the imambargahs and mosques

Similarly, in Mirpurkhas, a procession was taken out from Bara Imambargah, Bhansinghabad amidst strict security arrangements.

In Nawabshah, the main procession was taken out from Hyderi Imambargah, which after passing through different routes culminated at the Murtazvi Imambargah at Mohini Bazaar.

Similar processions were taken out and Majalis were held in Khairpur, Rohri and other cities and towns of the interior of Sindh amid tight security measures by police.

Participants of those processions and Majalis paid tribute to Hazrat Ali for his services in the cause of Islam.
